Commercial Account Handler
Location: Portsmouth (Hybrid Working available after fully competent)
Salary: £27,000 – £37,000 DOE + Bonus
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday 9.0am -5.00pm
Our client, a growing, independent, insurance brokerage, based in Portsmouth, is looking to recruit a confident Commercial Account Handler with a keen eye for detail.
As a Commercial Account Handler, your role will be to maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent customer service and insurance advice that the company is known for. Our client will support you in developing your technical knowledge and paying for CII professional qualifications.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the process of new policies, renewals, and MTAs.
- Report and handle claims.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to all new and existing clients.
- Arrange and attend client meetings.
- Prepare insurance documents, presentations and support the Account Directors.
- Attend training and maintain CPD record.
Required Skills/Experience:
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade A – C.
- 2+ years’ experience in an insurance role.
- Confident knowledge of commercial products: PI, D&O, Liabilities, combined products, contractors, motor fleet, motor trade, marine cargo, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and time management.
