Lead UX Designer
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday
Our client is one of the UK’s leading online learning provider and they are going through a successful growth period. As a result, they are looking for an experience UX Designer to join their successful team.
Our client is looking for someone who has the ability and vision to deliver market-leading experiences? This role could be office based from Bournemouth, or hybrid/home working depending on the successful candidates’ preference.
You’ll be at the heart of gaining insight into our customers’ intentions and behaviours and utilising this knowledge to create interface designs that are immersive, intuitive and aesthetically pleasing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with like-minded experts to understand and define customer problems and to build testable hypotheses that improve the customer experience
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of customer needs and use this knowledge to inform and support service development
- Present and support your designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and senior management
- Engage colleagues in research and design process through collaboration and design shares
- Use quantitative and qualitative research and insight to inform design decisions and articulate them to the business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in UX, Customer Experience and Service Design
- 3+ years experience in responsive and adaptive design
- Experience in designing for cross-platform solutions (Desktop, Web & Mobile)
- Ability to use both quantify and qualify insight to inform decision-making
- Experience at carrying out customer research – including contextual enquiry, observation, lab research, and usability testing
- Proven experience designing intuitive graphical interfaces for desktop, tablet and mobile devices
- Prior involvement in high-profile design projects in a commercial environment
