Supply Chain Analyst

Salary:                                Up to £35,000 per annum (D.O.E)

Location:                            Poole, Dorset

Hours:                                 Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm

Contract:                            Full Time, Permanent

Our client pioneers inventive products crafted for enduring quality. They seek an Inventory/Supply Chain Analyst to assist the team in daily tasks to ensure all admin and stock ordering processes are maintained.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Manage product availability and stock levels to meet customer fulfilment targets while minimising excess inventory.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including working closely with key customers to support sales performance.
  • Global Liaison: Communicate with the Far East office and suppliers to expedite or defer stock as needed to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Forecasting: Conduct monthly forecasting of key lines based on expected customer requirements.
  • Range Management: Manage the range change process, ensuring new products arrive for planned launches while efficiently exiting old stock.
  • Event Planning: Plan for promotional events to optimise sales while maintaining efficient stock levels.
  • Performance Review: Regularly review divisional performance to identify excess stock and work with Account Managers on exit solutions.
  • Customer Service: Consistently deliver outstanding customer service through strong and effective communication.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Assist the wider supply team with additional tasks as required.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Forecasting Expertise: Previous experience in forecasting is essential for this role.
  • Advanced IT Skills: Excellent IT skills are required, with the ability to work with pivot tables and lookups being a minimum requirement.
  • Prioritisation: Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritising a heavy workload.
  • Industry Background: Previous supply chain experience in a fast-moving environment with a multiple SKU count is preferred.
  • Proactive Mindset: A problem-solving approach and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
