Insurance B2B Account Manager
Location: Hybrid / Bournemouth, Dorset
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum + Bonus
Account Executive – Specialist Property Insurance
The Opportunity
Join a leading specialist property insurance broker who operates a highly supportive, technology-enabled environment. We’re looking for a driven Account Executive to service a complex book of accounts and help drive growth within a specialist division. You’ll be part of an expert team in the Bournemouth office, operating on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities
As an Account Executive, you will manage a client portfolio and drive business growth by:
- Client Management – Control the renewal process and accurately gather information from clients.
- Business Growth – Chase warm leads to maintain and grow your portfolio; identify and recommend new business opportunities.
- Negotiation – Discuss renewal terms, seek competitive alternatives, and liaise with brokers to secure the most competitive terms that meet client objectives.
- Administration & Resolution – Efficiently assess and resolve account queries and credit control matters, escalating critical concerns when necessary.
- Process Improvement – Look at internal processes with a critical eye and suggest efficiency improvements.
- Relationship Building – Visit clients as appropriate to strengthen professional relationships.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience – Insurance B2C experience is ideal. Previous experience working within a similar Account Handling or Sales Support role is essential.
- Knowledge – A-Level standard education (or equivalent) with a strong working knowledge of general insurance products and classes.
- Market Insight – Knowledge of the client market and the wider industry (London Market/Lloyd’s exposure beneficial).
- Qualifications – Dip CII/Cert CII preferred (study support available).
- Core Skills – Exceptional written and verbal communication, strong new business drive, outstanding accuracy and attention to detail, and a commitment to making the customer your top prioritising.
